          NEWS FROM THE WORLD MISSIONS CENTRE, ABIDJAN The long postponed spreading to the unreached nations of West Africa. Rev. Mark Sessay of the Assemblies of God Sierra Leone has been a long time friend when we met in Ghana in 2012 and has invited us to Sierra Leone since then. Rev. Philip Zantoe of Monrovia Liberia a good friend we met in Uyo International Pastors Conference hosted by the great Pro-Missions Pastor Dr. Sylvanus Ukafia. Since then Pastor Philip has looked forward to our coming to Liberia The Year 2019 presents us an extraordinary opportunity to seize God's long awaited word and ride on its wings. Some may think that it is the fear of how others will respond, or a feeling of being unqualified to answer the questions of friends who do not believe in Jesus. I believe the reason goes deeper than that. In North America, we have a society of people who generally have a sense of sufficiency in themselves. People do not feel a need for a relationship with God. The feel that they are getting along alright on their own, so they see no need for salvation. We also have a culture where, if people believe in God, they tend to fashion Him in their own image - with all of their human limitations. Everyone thus determines what they want to believe. Nothing is nailed down; people set their own standards, and truth becomes relative. After the gospel reached Jerusalem, Jesus instructed His disciples to take the gospel to the other cultures to the ends of the earth. However, it has been by no means an easy task. The Republic of Guinea, with its capital Conakry in West Africa has 96% of its population as Muslims while a mere 2% are Christians. Even then, there is freedom of religion and Christians can hold meetings, evangelize and baptize freely without fear of persecution. The Republic of Chad, the nation of Niger are equally Islam dominated countries yet have a very high level of freedom of worship. Missionaries and believers could take advantage and preach the gospel while it is still permissive. Years ago a brother from Nigeria, a businessman that I know had some business deals in far away Mali. And since he was staying a couple of weeks, he decided to share his faith. It was effective. Within weeks he was able to leave behind 12 believers. He saw the need because he was conscious of the state of the field. He didn't just go to make money, he went also as God's ambassador in business. The Church today is lagging behind when you compare us to the foresight of Muslims...

Most things start small. Chief example is human life. The biological catalysts for human life, the male sperm cannot be picked by the naked eye, yet humans of all shapes, heights and size spring out of it. Jesus Christ our Lord stated that a church that attracts the presence of God starts with a few as two or three! In His teachings through the parabolic illustrations, Jesus illustrated the kingdom of God and how it works with life of a mustard tree, whose seed is the smallest of all seeds yet exceeds all trees when planted and fully grown. Even though Jesus had large gatherings in His crusades and teaching seminars, one time they recorded 5,000 families that could total to over 20,000 people.
