The Beauty of Sharing Christ

Sharing Christ is not simply about speaking words; it is about living a life that radiates His presence and transforms those around us. The gospel is more than a message—it is a gift of grace, hope, and love meant to be passed on. Like a flame that grows brighter as it spreads, the light of Christ multiplies when shared, illuminating hearts and communities. Each believer carries this light, entrusted with the privilege of shining it into places of darkness. Let us reflect on this beauty through three truths: Christ is the Light, the Light has been given, and help someone see the Light.

Christ is the Light

Jesus Christ is described in Scripture as “the light of the world” (John 8:12), and this truth captures the very essence of His mission. Light is powerful—it dispels darkness, reveals hidden paths, and brings warmth to cold places. In the same way, Christ shines into the brokenness of humanity, offering clarity where confusion reigns and hope where despair lingers. His light is not temporary or fragile; it is eternal, steady, and victorious over every shadow.

Darkness often symbolizes sin, fear, and separation from God. Left on our own, we stumble, unable to see the way forward. But when Christ enters our lives, He illuminates the path of righteousness and draws us closer to the Father. His presence transforms our perspective: what once seemed hopeless becomes filled with promise, and what once felt empty is now overflowing with joy.

The beauty of Christ’s light is that it is personal yet universal. It touches individual hearts while also shining across nations. To walk in His light is to experience freedom from guilt, peace in turmoil, and assurance in uncertainty. Sharing this light with others is not just a duty—it is a privilege, for His brightness grows stronger as it spreads.

The Light Has Been Given

Christ’s light wonders that it has not been withheld or reserved for a privileged few—it has been given freely to all who will receive it. The cross stands as the ultimate testimony of this gift. In His sacrifice, Jesus poured out grace and mercy, extending salvation to every heart, regardless of background, culture, or past mistakes. This is the beauty of the gospel: it is not earned, purchased, or deserved—it is offered as a gift of love.

When we think of light, we often imagine it shining in a dark room. One candle may seem small, but when it lights another, the brightness multiplies. The original flame does not diminish; instead, the room grows warmer and clearer. In the same way, when we share Christ, we do not lose Him—we extend His presence into new lives. The gift of His light is meant to spread, not to be hidden or hoarded.

Jesus Himself taught that we are not to place our light under a basket but on a stand, so that it gives light to everyone around. This means our faith is not a private possession but a public testimony. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, every prayer whispered for someone in need becomes a spark of His light.

The light has been entrusted to us, and with it comes responsibility. We are called to shine boldly in our families, workplaces, and communities. The more we share, the brighter the world becomes, until the darkness is overcome by the radiance of Christ.

Help Someone See the Light

Helping someone see the light of Christ is one of the most beautiful acts of love a believer can offer. It does not always require eloquent speeches or theological expertise; often, it begins with simple compassion. Listening to someone’s struggles, offering encouragement, or praying with them can open a window for Christ’s light to shine through. People are drawn not only to what we say but to how we live. When our lives reflect patience, forgiveness, and joy, others notice the difference—and that difference points them toward Jesus.

Paul expressed the standard approach to this in 1Corinthians, And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 (NKJV)

Guiding someone toward the light is not about forcing belief or winning arguments. It is about gently leading them to hope, showing them that there is a way out of darkness. Sometimes, the most powerful witness is a quiet testimony of faith lived consistently. A life anchored in Christ becomes a beacon, inviting others to step closer to the source of peace and truth.

Imagine the ripple effect if each believer helped just one person see the light. Families would be restored, communities strengthened, and hearts renewed. The beauty of sharing Christ is that it multiplies endlessly—one spark ignites another, until the glow reaches places we may never personally step into.

Helping someone see the light is both a responsibility and a privilege. It is the calling of every Christian to shine, not for personal recognition, but so that others may encounter the love of Christ. In doing so, we participate in God’s great mission: bringing His light into every corner of the world.

The beauty of sharing Christ lies in its simplicity and power. Christ is the light that dispels darkness. That light has been given freely to us. And we are called to help others see it. Every time we share His love, the world grows brighter. Let us not keep this treasure to ourselves but pass it on, so that many may walk in the light of life.

REPOSITIONING CAN MAKE YOU MORE EFFECTIVE

B Y    D A V I D     M C Q U E L Hello Everyone!   It has been a long while. The year 2022 has finally passed. And we are still here. God is to be glorified. We absolutely give God thanks.   I tried to review the year, looking backwards at my pleasure and displeasure with the year. I also did try to see where I failed, underperformed or missed the mark both set by God or by my heart. I always like to do an honest self-appraisal. I bear in mind that either lavishing praises on myself or ignoring things that should be fixed are not to my advantage. Transparency may hurt but I stand to gain first before someone else.   Here are a few things that I came to a conclusion on: 1.       I need to make certain necessary adjustments or changes or repositioning either on my character, my commitment, my determination or my effort. This is non-negotiable. I cannot continue to do things the way I did and expect a diff...
