2021, NEW STEPS

OPPORTUNITIES HAVE COME, NEW STEPS FOLLOW We offer Thanksgiving to God for 2020, a tumultuous year but full of opportunities as the Lord spoke to us last December. Thank you also our more than 20,000 visitors and more. You inspire us a lot. Our Director David McQuel travelled to the US in february for the Keystone Project Discipleship making movement, although he got trapped in the web of the global pandemic, we are confident that God was with him and it was God's plan all this while. God did not only provide for him but provided for his family and the ministry running in his absence.  David's wife was lockdown in Ghana as well as she went to visit the mission field there. His daughter and staff, Lois kept the ministry going in their absence as they all stayed connected through Social Media. God used family friends and ministry partners to provide care and support.  May God bless them all. World Missions Centre will still stay around her main calling: Evangelism, Discipleship a

WHY ‘CONVERSION THERAPY BANS’ ARE REALLY ABOUT BANNING CHRISTIAN INFLUENCE

BY JONATHON VAN MAREN ‘I’ve suspected for some time that these so-called “conversion therapy bans” are simply a Trojan horse that can effectively be used to render preaching, teaching, pastoral support, and Christian counseling on any LGBT-related issue illegal’ October 7, 2020 ( LifeSiteNews ) – Proponents of the so-called “conversion therapy bans” cropping up in many Western countries have a very simple and very compelling public rationalization for these laws. These laws, they claim, are necessary to prevent young people from being forced into dangerous and discredited therapies that attempt to alter who they are. The phrase “conversion therapy,” which has generally been used to refer to abusive practices such as electroshock therapy and conjures up ugly images almost immediately, has been used very intentionally. What humane person, after all, could oppose banning that? Even the United Nations has  called on member nations  to get on board. Of course, these so-called “conversion

WHAT DISCIPLESHIP IS AND IS NOT

Christ’s mandate to make disciples is meant for every one of His followers. BY   L E S L I   W H I T E Jesus’ final instruction to His followers was “go and make disciples”. Jesus made disciples, the disciples made disciples and their disciples made disciples. Jesus’ method of making disciples was focused more on relationships and action and less on information and knowledge. But in an age where church no longer seems relevant or helpful – or even good – to many people, so many are leaving and losing site of Jesus’ call. On top of this, many of those who make it to Sunday service are biblically illiterate, lack commitment to evangelism and mission, and have shallow faith. It’s important as followers of Christ to understand what discipleship is and what discipleship is not so we are able to fulfill the Great Commission. By definition, a disciple is a follower, one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another. A Christian disciple is a person who accepts and assists in

WORSHIP GOD ALONE

D A V I D   P A M   M C Q U E L Sean Feucht Today we went out on a praye r trail and what a rich  experience it was. Friends of mine, all totally new friends today gathered to pray for America, for Washington State and for  Seattle.  A friend from Kenya, I from Nigeria /Ivory Coast and mostly everyone else was an Americans and Americans of Asian descent, nobody thought about that. We counted it a privilege to gather there. From Alki beach where we spent nearly 4 hours then to Balot where we gave another 2 hours. Nobody worried about food.   We are not alone. Since the Pandemic began, Christians have risen up in different cities, beaches and street corners to call on God. It has been truly inspiring. Add caption   One of the greatest realities of 2020 have left us with is the fragility of life on earth. We have grossly overrated ourselves. It is time to reali ze that God is supreme. We should worship God alone.   There are too many examples to give of Pastors and God’s an

MEDICINE AND GOD, TOGETHER HEALING

B Y   D A V I D   P A M    M c Q U E L There has been this conflict between some of the bearers of faith and the bearers of science. And for a long time, many on both sides have argued that both cannot cohabit.   Those arguing for faith think it is lack of faith to look up to medicine. There are arguments is that God is able to do anything and everything. Jesus healed all the sick during the days of his ministry on earth. He is the same today as he was back then. Jesus said, with faith nothing will be impossible. Matthew 17:20   You cannot argue with that. Everything they say is true.   The other side deny miracles, healings and faith. To them it is foolishness. In fact, some who depend only on science consider talk of faith and healing as total irresponsibility and ignorance of science.   Well that is not exactly correct. I know well trained medical practitioners who personally live by faith with little or no medical assistance.   In 1992, while I served a chur

SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE

BY      R H O N D A     C O C R O F T       P O W E L L I want to encourage and empower my Christian brethren today to speak the truth in love. Most of my life I have tried to be a "people pleaser". I hate it when people don't like me, talk about, hurt me. I struggled with severe anxiety as a child and as a teenager. On the outside everything looked good and fine, but on the inside, I was dying .   When I came to know Jesus Christ at 17 years of age, many things changed for me. My newfound love for Jesus made me into a whole new person in Christ. The scales fell from my eyes and for the first time ever, I began to see the truth of God's word.   Although I now had Jesus, I did not realize the work He would eventually do through me in the many years ahead. I would continue to struggle with my anxieties and fears, but the Lord has been gracefully breaking me to trust Him, and Him alone with each passing day.   I say all of this to say, if God can speak th

MY TEEN AND I

B Y   D A V I D   P A M    M c Q U E L I sat there staring at the beautiful coffee mug. I like it black with a chocolate shot. My mind drifts every 5 minutes, wandering about many things and many places. For a while, I drifted away and Jephtha went off my. A minute later, like a heavy rock he came back. I sank inside like a dumbbell into the water. How am I going to handle this? How many times have I asked this question in the last one hour? A hundred times? Or even more. I sat at the dinning table. This is my third cup of coffee. Usually, I smile watching the steam rise from my hot coffee like the smoke from an evening sacrifice    in ancient Israel . A third cup of coffee, yet my anxiety is rather steaming. Jephtha…I whispered. Then I broke the silence after a minute, as if I was waiting for an answer. I looked up again at the condom on the table. My heart sank again. Jeph is just 16! Come on Jeph….!! Just 16! I sighed I have always thought highly an
