YOUR FAITH: HIDDEN OR SHOWING?

All those who have put their faith in the Lord Jesus are children of God, irrespective of where they worship. An active faith in Christ is a result of accepting the free gift of eternal life through the sufferings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord. However, there are different ways believers chose to walk before God. More importantly, Jesus told us how to walk before Him. He left nothing our personal prejudice. In Matthew 10 where Jesus focused on soul winning and presenting the gospel to our lost world. Starting from verses 32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven. 34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father,     a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against...

Sensing A Call To The Mission Field?

God calls believers to different kinds of service as it's stated in Romans 12:3 "For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully." The church needs to teach people to find their place of service in God's kingdom. Te...

A Letter From A Changed Heart

Dear Facebook Family and Friends, I just wanted to share with those who are interested about my faith. I can only tell you what happened to me in the hope that someone might find this helpful. For the first 17 years of my life, I was the "perfect" daughter. I did what my parents told me to do, had good grades, active in church and school activities. I had no vices...smoking, drinking, cursing, etc. People would often tell my parents that I was "everything a parent would ever want in a child". At that time, I thought I was going to heaven because I was such a "good" girl and that I was "better" than most people my age. Even feeling this way, I was never quite comfortable. I always feared dying because I wasn't sure where I would go or what would happen to me. I prayed and prayed that God would give me comfort and peace about dying and relieve me of my fears One night at an evangelistic meeting at church, a preacher spoke on John...

Eternity's Little Ray of Light to the Heart

By David Pam McQuel Twenty-five years ago I served as a pastor for a mission-like church in rural Central Nigeria. A young woman called Esther who had lived a rough life and was despised by most people including her family came to church and had an encounter with God. Suddenly she had a heart change in 3 days and became the most noble young lady in the community in less than 6 months. Jesus touched her heart! This encounter started during an evening service as I taught on the work of transformation that the ministry of the Holy Spirit brings to reality, when the gospel is taught and man response approximately. This transform is what Ezekiel prophesied in Ezekiel 36:25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you t...

IT IS TIME!

Last week John was so much in a hurry that he couldn't see the traffic light!  Wasn't intentional but the police arrest you in spite of you great intentions. At the sight of the police stopping, he even got madder. He was all focused on getting to the meeting before his "no-nonsense" boss gets there. Carol set the her food on fire, gently paced to the living room barefoot to catch up with her daily soap. What an episode she watch yesterday! Now she wants to see what happened after that! Did the man die? What happened to his dog? How will that couple separate, she was lost into the television when the anger infesting smell of her burnt food hit her. She jumped hysterically but it was late. She ruin her meal. The two stories above have one thing in common, TIME. Jesus' mum requested a miracle for the wedding in Cana, from him. And Jesus said, 4 “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” Jesus knew his time had not come....

THE HINDERING DIVIDE

There is a great misconception in the church, it is the division that has set denominations against denominations. And this is a bad independent spirit that has hindered the church more than anything the devil could ever do. Jesus said, a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. This division has affected the love and fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ more. When two believers meet, they are more conscious of which denomination they belong to than which body they both belong. We are the body of Christ! One body! Paul said in 1Corinthians 12:12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it wou...

Easter 2016 in Memory

The Blood of Jesus Set Us Free. That is the greatest news!  For us at the World Missions Centre, Abidjan Ivory Coast, last year 2016's Easter was a great time of bringing to people the word of God, the gospel of salvation through Christ Jesus. Our team was out in Anono, an Ebrie Community in the heart of Abidjan the capital of the Ivory Coast. We were able to reach over 500 people in an open air preaching and one-on-one style evangelism as well as feed kids and adults with breakfast. We give God praise for all He did. Here are highlight of our humble state outreach. The truth is that many people heard the gospel and rejoiced at the word of the Lord.
